Inspired by his relationship with Julie and their struggles together, Soundtrack to life was conceived and originated in Dave’s mind.  His leadership drove the project from infancy.  Dave's vision played a major role in developing the screenplay.  Julie and Dave wrote or co-wrote the majority of the songs.  Dave (with help from 7th Floor’s guitar player Mark Neary) also played the biggest role in the development and progression of the stage show.

Dave is a talented songwriter and musician.  He can play multiple instruments including keyboards, guitar, and his main instrument saxophone.   

He was a core member of the Elwood Splinters Blues Band for 14 years and wrote numerous songs for the Elwood’s recordings.  He also shared the stage with many blues greats from Koko Taylor and Lonnie Brooks to The Legendary Muddy Waters Blues Band.
